The LX CloudPos REST API lets you issue legally valid electronic tax documents (comprobantes electrónicos) in Costa Rica — Electronic Invoice, Electronic Ticket, Credit Notes, and Debit Notes — directly from your own system, without logging into the web POS or manually managing the integration with Hacienda (Costa Rica’s tax authority).

The API transparently handles:

• Generating the 50-digit key and the consecutive number according to the official algorithm.
• Building the XML v4.4 document per Hacienda CR’s current schema.
• Signing the XML with the XAdES certificate and your registered credentials.
• Sending it to Hacienda, handling retries, and processing the callback.
• Notifying you by webhook when the final status arrives (accepted/rejected).
• Storing the PDF and the signed XML for later download.
• Sending the document to the customer’s email automatically or on demand.

Your responsibility as the integrator comes down to: composing the JSON body with the document’s data, making a POST request, and processing the webhook when it arrives.
